Troy is originally from Hawaii and is of Norwegian, Japanese and Chinese Hawaiian descent. She grew up in a culture that uses acupuncture as a traditional means of medical treatment. Raised in an environment already steeped in Eastern Medicine, Troy decided to pursue acupuncture as a career. Troy believes that the spirit, mind and body are all connected. Through a united effort between the patient and practitioner, Troy believes that acupuncture can help to bring the body, mind | |||||||||||||||||||
| and spirit into balance. She enjoys working with female patients especially because as a woman she feels she has an innate sense of how a woman’s body functions. Troy uses Five Element Acupuncture as her primary method because emotions play a major role in female healing. She treats many women who have issues with painful PMS and other uncomfortable female issues; she also treats women who are dealing with fertility issues for which Western Medicine simply has no answer, many times working with patients from conception through delivery. Troy believes that because of her passion to help others through acupuncture, she and her patients have a high rate of success. | |||||||||||||||||||
